Dion Vithoulkas, Director and Owner of Content Key. 

Hello! Dion Vithoulkas here from Content Key. I just want to say a massive thank you for taking the time to read about what I've created here. I want to tell you that you are in the right place if you're looking to completely transform your practice and turn yourself into an industry leader.

You might be wondering how, but first, let me tell you a little about myself...

My father was a medico for 35 years in the podiatry field. His life was dedicated to growing and refining his business (podiatry care). He utilised numerous strategies for growth and taught me, importantly, that the focus must not be just on the features, the clinic and the doctor, but on the benefits provided for the patient. I was immersed in that environment from birth, the people he associated with, the treatment I received, the odd jobs I did around the clinic… whether I liked it or not, that was my life and everything revolved around wellness, medicine and importantly, business. 

In my teenage years, I caught the bug for business, and started up my own photography and videography company. I began collaborating with business to create high level photos and videos focused on sales and conversions. I worked with clients from a variety of industries, some of my biggest clients being Toyota, Lexus and Roche. 

After spending countless hours between running my own business, and helping my dad out in his (cleaning the lab, listening in to business conversations and being around practice owners) I started to ask questions. 
He was doing old school marketing. Old man, old school. His work revolved around Yellow Pages, print ads, direct mail, cold calling, shopping centre promotions, sport club days, seminars, conferences etc. And it was costing him 150k - 200k a year to do all of this. 

It didn’t make all that much sense to me, and I couldn’t understand how he was spending so much money without being able to truly measure the results… until I had the BFO, lightbulb moment. (The BFO, blinding flash of the obvious, by Chris Newton) 

Everything my father was doing in terms of marketing for his practice in a 12 month period, I could achieve in as little as 10 minutes. Everything from testing headlines, audiences, reach, geographic and market targeting is achievable extremely quickly in today's online world. I worked out that using online strategies, (which cost now cost a 20th of what he was spending annually) I could receive up 100’s of times greater reach on his campaigns. (10k a year on ad-spend to see 100s times better results), and the best part is, the entire online system is trackable, measurable and results driven. 

By the time I caught on to the power of advertising online it was too late for my dad. He grew his business over the last 35 years using traditional strategies and eventually got bought out by a multi national and retired at 50 years old. (It was in the millions). 

I applied these same theories to my photography business and saw my business grow and develop, however my passion was in the process itself rather than the results, so I knuckled down and absorbed all of the processes and ideas in the book my father wrote, The Practice Builder Program, and laid out how I could bring these ideologies into the 21st century. 

I pulled my dad out of his bored retirement, and tried to get him to work with me, however he only agreed under one condition - I had to get a degree. I studied for 3 years and finished my IT + Business degree and gained a better understanding on how to improve, adapt and increase backend business efficiencies. Soon after I was employed by Smartsoft, one of Australia’s largest practice management companies (FrontDesk) where my skills were utilised to market their new cloud based practice management software, with fantastic results. 

After he saw that I was ready, we partnered up in business to create the Content Key Diary Filling System. His knowledge and ideas are scattered throughout the entire system, and his focus is now servicing practice owners to create backend processes. And that brings us to where are today, with Content Key. It's a system designed around years of knowledge gained from over 30 years of medical, old school marketing and development, now combined with new, modern marketing application, designed to bring your practice into the 21st century.
